James took me to a restaurant in Frisco called Randy’s Steak House for my birthday last Wednesday. I have to say, it was really a very memorable evening. I had mentioned that I wanted to try it, as it is one of the few restaurants in Frisco we have never tried. It’s a bit pricey, and it is a steak place, and James isn’t a huge steak fan, so we’ve never been.
It’s in a historic home built shortly after the Civil War. Learned an Interesting tidbit of trivia. My family had a favorite restaurant in Jefferson, TX called The Galley Pub. In the 80s, it was one of the top 100 restaurants in Texas. It is gone now, but we learned that the house that Randy’s occupies was built with wood brought over on a train from Jefferson, TX. Thought that was an interesting coincidence.
At any rate, we know of someone who used to work there, and James had called him for some info, and the guy ended up sending over some flowers for us (he now works at a florist across the street from Randy’s). The food was very good, the service was excellent, and the company incomparable. We stay so busy these days, we rarely get the chance to do something like that and just decompress and check in with each other like that, and it was wonderful. Thank you, James – you are amazing!
